Scrutineering Guideline

This is a scrutineering guideline to give you a basic understanding of what will be expected on the day. Scrutineering must be carried out by the scrutineering officials the morning of each event.

Checklist
  • Race Number – clear and visible on both sides of ski
  • Didymo – any weed or other foreign matter – Check pump, intake grate and trailer.
  • Helmet – at least 50% must be high-vis in ‘bright’ colours. Helmet must meet the criteria of Snell, Dot or ECE 22.05. DD or slide clip.
  • Goggles – Recommended
  • Gloves – Recommended
  • Wetsuit – Long pants recommended
  • PFDs – Minimum of 2 ‘closures’ zip and buckle – highly recommended to have 2 or more buckles.
  • Back Brace – mandatory for ALL classes
  • Hull Inspection – no sharp or dangerous fittings, intake grate must be secured and in place
  • Accessible Tow Loop
  • Fire Extinguisher (for pit use)
  • Secure battery
  • Lanyard Test – cutout
  • General check of the engine – secure, fuel lines, cables, etc.
  • General visual check of steering, operation, integrity

Asian Gold Clam Addition

  • Ski must be clean and DRY for 72hrs before any race event, inside the hull and around the motor, including any and all riding gear being used.
  • Tissue will be placed under your motor and must come out completely dry.

Class Entered

  • There are some class specific rules/regulations so please ensure you read the rules and enter into the correct race class, as this may affect you passing the scruitneering.
