2024/25 Summer Series – Rounds 4, 5 & Grand Prix Nationals – Kinloch, Lake Taupo
We’re heading back to the picturesque location of Kinloch, Lake Taupo!
A highlight on the annual Jet Ski Racing calendar, this exciting two day event provides racers an high energy environment to compete for the top spot of the 2024/25 Summer Series Grand Prix Nationals .
We’re excited to introduce two new classes – ‘Masters’ for those 50+ years old, giving seasoned riders a chance to shine on the water. And, we’re proud to announce that every class is now a Plate class!
The venue for this event is Kinloch Beach, on Kinloch Esplanade. There is a boat ramp available and plenty of parking for cars and trailers. A perfect spot for racing, parking, relaxing and spectating.
Please note that we have not secured a food or coffee trailer for the weekend, please ensure to bring your own food for both days.
Accommodation
Kinloch village is just 20 minutes drive from Taupo township and is well known as a peaceful holiday destination. A number of websites offer quality accommodation within the village. Go to: holiday houses, bachcare, Bookabach, or Airbnb for options.
Kinloch is a great place to bring family and friends, bikes and boats. Come and enjoy a long weekend away.
SUMMER SERIES – ROUND 4 & 5 + GRAND PRIX NATIONALS
Rounds 4 & 5 will be held concurrently with the 2025 GRAND PRIX NATIONALS
Please note: Rounds 4 & 5 – Only financial members with a Annual Licence are eligible to race for End of Season points. If you want to know where you stand in the series, see the 2024/25 Summer Series Race Results, here.
This will be a short course event, run around a series of buoys. This event will be raced over the two days as a National Event (with total points tallied at the end of Day 2.) Four races are planned for Saturday and three further rounds on Sunday, before prize giving.

Membership
All riders must be a member of JSRNZ in order to race and accumulate points towards the end of season. Membership is payable with your race entry
Race Licence
Every rider must have a race licence in order to race. Annual licences cost 150.00 and are valid for a year, from the first round of the Summer series. New riders can only race at up to two events on a temporary licence before then needing to purchase an Annual Licence. The cost of a temporary licence is $50 and is payable with race entry.

Rules
All riders MUST read and comply with our Race Rules. All riders who have competed for less than two years will compete as a rookie, at a maximum competition level of GP2.
First Time Riders
First-time riders are very welcome! You will be fully supported by experienced riders from start to finish. You are welcome to race in one event prior to joining the club.
