Winter Series 2024 – Round 1 – Orewa Beach
Orewa Beach on the Hibiscus Coast provides a perfect, sheltered beach setting for our 1st round of racing this Winter. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a novice, you’ll just love this race venue. Come and give racing a try! We guarantee you’ll be ‘hooked’!!
Format
You’ll be competing in three races of 30 mins each (plus a lap), racing around a open course with a rolling start. We have a half hour break between races.
Boat Ramps
There are 2 ramps – Orewa Beach (Marine View) and Orewa Estuary. These both have limited parking but you can park at the Surf Life Club. No vehicles are permitted to park on the beach.
RULES
All riders MUST read and comply with our Race Rules.
In local events all new riders and those who have competed for less than two years, will compete as a novice, at a maximum competition level of GP2.
Food and Drink
The Beach House Eatery is at the surf club and there are also a few cafes just over the road.
Prize Giving
Prize giving will be held at the Orewa Surf Club

Early Bird Fees
Pay online before the event and the fees will be $120. Early Bird entry closes Wednesday 26th 12am (midnight) to allow money to show in our account.

New Riders are always welcome! You will be fully supported by our experienced riders from beginning to end. Before competing, new riders should familiarise themselves with the class their ski qualifies for. You’ll find everything you need to know in our race information.
